Personal details are all details that can be used to identify a specific person directly or indirectly. You are not obliged to provide NEC with the personal details that we may or may not request but if you decide not to provide these, we may not be able to show you or to give you a good idea of the project and the services that we can offer you. We wish to inform you about our new products and services but we need to ask your permission for this.

Cookies
This websites use so-called “cookies” (a cookie is a small file that is sent by an Internet server and that installs itself on your computer’s hard drive. This file retains traces of the website visited and includes a number of details from this visit). Cookies are used in particular to remember certain settings for a following website visit or in order to transfer some details required for the functioning of this website from one page to the next. Cookies are not used on this website in order to store name, address, postcode, place of residence, telephone number or e-mail address. Security
NEC has taken suitable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal details against loss or any form of unlawful processing.

Provision to third parties
NEC can use the services of third parties in order to process your details in accordance with the Privacy Statement. These third parties appear as processor for NEC whereby NEC ensures that these parties offer sufficient guarantees regarding the technical and organizational security measures. Third parties acting as processors for NEC have concluded a processor’s agreement with NEC which stipulates among other things that they will only process personal details on NEC’s behalf.

NEC will only send personal details to third parties with your prior permission or if NEC is obliged to do so based on legislation and regulations.

Transmission outside Europe
Your personal details will only be stored by NEC or third parties engaged by NEC or processed outside the European Economic Area (“the EEA”) if this is in keeping with the current regulations for transferring personal details to countries outside the EEA.

Retention periods
Personal details must not be retained for longer than is necessary. The retention period depends on the purpose and the legal conditions in this regard for which NEC has collected the details.

Your rights
You are entitled to be informed and to request NEC to allow you to view, correct and/or add to your personal details. You are also entitled under certain circumstances to the transferability of details, to be forgotten, to limited processing of your personal details and the right to complain. You are also entitled to withdraw your permission. You also have the right to complain to a supervisory body as to the manner in which we process your personal details.

You may submit such a request by e-mail via info@newenergychallenge.com. Such requests must be made by your legal guardian if you are younger than 16 years old. We cannot however check whether a visitor is older than 16 years old. We advise legal guardians to be involved in their children’s online activities in order to prevent details on children from being collected without parental consent. If you are convinced that we have collected the personal details of a minor without this consent, please contact us via info@newenergychallenge.com and we will remove this information as quickly as possible.

Objection may be made at any time to use of personal details for direct marketing purposes and/or the (continued) receipt of (certain) marketing information by forwarding this request in writing to info@newenergychallenge.com.

We will then cease sending you (more) marketing information. There is also an unsubscribe function in the e-mails that we send you via the e-mail service as well as in other marketing information that we send. If you use this, you will not receive any more similar messages. You cannot unsubscribe from information messages. Please take into account that your change will take effect as soon as possible; NEC cannot rule out your request for a change crossing with an invitation already sent but it will do its best to prevent this.
