Exciting innovations that are relevant to the energy system are taking place outside Shell, as digitalisation, electrification and decentralisation of energy systems continue to change the landscape. Shell Ventures, Shell’s corporate venture capital arm, makes minority investments in innovative technology companies, business models and growth plays to further the development of energy solutions and create substantial deployment value in Shell. Shell Ventures co-invests with other corporate investors and venture capital funds and will invest in both early stage and late stage companies.

“We’ve seen impressive cleantech innovations since the beginning of our tech incubator, back in 2005. Together with partners like Shell, Rockstart and Get in the Ring we can find the next best innovations in the field and support them,” said EJ Lugt, Managing Director at YES!Delft. “Now, perhaps more than ever, it’s the time to support the next innovators that will disrupt how we’re currently going in this energy transition. Considering the startups I’ve seen in the previous editions of this program, I’m super eager to meet the next game changers.”
In the New Energy Challenge, Get in the Ring is helping to bring the next players in the energy transition in the program, and after a curated selection made by innovation experts, 5 startups get trained by YES!Delft. With our perfected methodology on customer validation, in less than a week, we bring the startups in the challenge to the next level to compete in the Final Day of the New Energy Challenge.
In the previous years, we received over 200 applications all over Europe and Israel each year. From all those, 10% make it into the program, so don’t miss your chance to submit your application.
