Entries could be submitted until 24 May 2019 and are now closed.
In June and July the NEC team will start with the selections. The best entries will be selected by the quality and potential of their business models and innovative technologies.
In August the NEC team will plan skype call interviews with the best entries. The finalists will be selected from this group and invited for the Finals Week.
The finalists will go through a series of online assessments (September), after which they will be invited to the Netherlands for the Finals Week in October*.
This includes a 3-day validation lab. In the course of the programme YES!Delft and its extensive network of coaches and experts will help finalists validate their business proposals, find their product-market fit, and prepare to pitch for an expert jury during the Finals Day event.
Rockstart remotely prepares the finalists through deep dive interviews and mentorship sessions (September), after which they will be invited to the Netherlands for the Finals week in October*.
This includes 2 days of training and sessions with expert mentors of the Rockstart and Shell network to help shape and strengthen their businesses and pilot project proposals.
In October, Finals Week will reach its climax; finalists will pitch their ideas to a jury of experts who will select the winners of the New Energy Challenge 2019. The winning start-up will be admitted to the Shell GameChanger programme. The winning scale-up will develop a pilot together with Shell’s Retail business, ultimately launching it at a Shell retail site.
