The final event of the New Energy Challenge was nail-bitingly exciting. The challenging race that started in May with more than 250 promising teams of entrepreneurs, ended today with 2 winners: FinnoExergy Oy from Finland and H2Pro from Israël.
FinnoExergy Oy convinced the jury with their breakthrough combustion technology for gas turbines. Their PGC system allows gas turbines to generate more power while using less fuel. FinnoExergy Oy is named best start-up.
The jury was also very impressed with the revolutionary method for splitting water from H2Pro, who are named best scale-up. Their method of splitting water results in a high efficiency (95%), significantly lower CAPEX (half), much higher production pressure and unparalleled safety.
Congratulations to the teams and thanks to all the participants of the New Energy Challenge 2020, whose ideas will help us to shape our energy system of the future together!
